Become a Club Mentor!

Through the HealthRICH project, Strive to Thrive! clubs are being offered for middle school students across the country. Mentors from the environmental health science industry and education fields will help to make these club experiences more valuable for students.

Please consider becoming a mentor for a Strive to Thrive! club. Your role could include any of the following:

  • Offer support and advice to the club sponsor and/or club members
  • Provide insight into careers in the environmental health sciences
  • Visit the club as a guest speaker or to help students with their research activities
  • Invite the club to visit your laboratory

We will match you with a club in your area if possible. If we are unable to provide a local match, we’ll match you with a club that you can interact with via email or phone.

If you are interested in serving as a Strive to Thrive! mentor, please contact Amy Stander at (513) 727-3368 or standeae@muohio.edu.

HealthRICH: Health Risks, Information and Choices is funded by a Science Education Partnership Award (SEPA) grant from the National Center for Research Resources of the National Institutes of Health. HealthRICH is a Center for Chemistry Education Program.
